Corporate memory is short. Who knows what situation Eidos will be in ten years from now? For all we know, everyone involved with firing Core may be gone by then and the new guys might hire back some of the ex-Core employees who worked on TRAE.

And it doesn't matter if Eidos never made the Gametap documentary. They still authorized it even though it contained footage they were trying to ban from the internet. You can't say with 100% certainty that they would never release Core's AE in some form or another. It's not likely, but neither is it impossible.

I really hated how in the documentary they edited it so it looked like the lovely core footage was made by crystal.

How do you figure that? They said in the doco that the footage was from Core.

When they show the clip of the trailer they say it was made by Core, and I am talking about TRAE not TRA.

I know we are talking about TRAE.

In the Special Edition of TRA there is a second disk with the gametap doco on it. When it talks about crystal updating and enhancing the origional game they show clips of CORE's TRAE footage. Makes you think crystal made it.

Well, if Risak is to be believed, a number of people he knew supposedly had the game running on their PCs. He may have just been bsing us though. Risak never followed through with posting the new gameplay footage he supposedly had. Either he never had the footage in the first place or didn't want to get the suppliers of said footage in trouble. Who knows.

Yep, never say never. I think its still WAY too early to put the final nails in the TRAE coffin. If TR9 falls below expectations (like Underworld) they may be willing to release TRAE as DLC in the future.

While I'd love to play it, the truth is the number of people actually interested in the game is probably pretty small, probably too small to justify any release if the game was in as unfinished a state as claimed. They would have to pay to finish the game, then port it to a platform other than PSP. If the interested population is relatively small, then keeping it on the PSP would limit it even further.

We get this skewed perception of interest in the game because it's TRF, but in reality, our interest is simply not enough to justify the probably expense of bringing this game to market in some form.

They probably wouldn't pay to finish the game if it was too unfinished, but maybe they could release a video of someone playing the relatively finished parts and dub in some music like Core's trailer did
