^ Just tried original TR2-3 again. The "Load & replace texture" works perfectly in my computer.

Why U No Like Boots
I started to compile the basic meshes for my next outfit mod.
But each time I exported the joined mesh, Lara's boots turned invisible. Meshes used: TR2 Classic Torso TR2 Vegas arms. TR3 Catsuit hips and legs. TR2 Classic Boots. TR2 Vegas gunbelt. Blender had a software conflict just trying to view Lara's TR3 catsuit and the error seemed to involve her boot meshes. That wasn't a mix&mash project, just some node shifting. |

It always fails when I try it. What exactly are the steps you're taking, from start to finish? Also, I've given up on trying to add the beta Vegas outfit to the released version of Vegas, I need someone else to do it instead, which seems unlikely.

First, I have to admit that I have never tried the remaster version. I always work on the original version. The following is an example that change the outfit of Tibetan Foothills to that of 40 Fathoms in TR2.
1. Open unwater.TR2, which is the level file of 40 Fathoms, in TRViewer 1.083. For every mesh of Lara, right click and choose Export as .TRMSH, and save it as a .TRMSH file. Repeat for all 15 meshes of Lara, from Mesh_000 to Mesh_014. 2. Open skidoo.TR2, which is the level file of Tibetan Foothills. For every mesh of Lara, right click and choose Import from .TRMSH, and select the corresponding .TRMSH file that was just produced in previous step. Repeat for all 15 meshes of Lara, from Mesh_000 to Mesh_014. 3. Save. When TRViewer asks Do you want to keep the unused textures in the level? I choose no. That's it. When Tibetan Foothills loads, the outfit changes as expected. |

Re the keeping unused textures, sometimes saying Yes seems mandatory - just going off endless modding experience over the last 15 years if the level glitches in some way, try saving without texture optimization. Trial and error. Also one small thing- it could actually be faster to export the entire outfit as a .trmvb file (all 15 meshes at once), import into where you desire with (animations unticked) for tr1 and tr2 Lara models. You could then use the individual .trmsh export/import if only specific meshes need editing. Just slightly faster I guess |

Admittedly, I haven't actually got around to playing Golden Mask (or even TR2) in the Remaster, so I'd have to do a run through Golden Mask and unlock access to Nightmare in Vegas first.
I know about replacing the meshes, it was the "Load & replace texture option" that never works for me. Will replacing Lara's mesh with the Vegas outfit fix the auto-pistol thing? 'Cos it doesn't look like it when viewed in TRViewer. That's the thing I can't fix. Could you at least give it a go? I don't have the time to try go through this and test it myself. I'd much rather someone who knows what they're doing try it instead. I also don't know if using TRViewer or whatever will somehow mess up the level, 'cos apparently that's a thing that can happen? |

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the names of the outfits in photo mode, and in the outfit selection screen?
Edit: I figured it out. Quote:

Is it possible to add more to the list, so downloaded outfit mods don't have to overwrite stuff? Or would that require extra work to figure out?

I don't think it's possible to add more outfits, but I would love for that to be possible. I hope some of the amazing modders will be able to figure that out.

I'm afraid adding more outfits requires modifying either the EXE or DLLs, or both. If there was a separate binary data file keeping outfit informations like TRM, Textures, Backpack (present or absent) and Hand (bare or gloves) we could manipulate that but so far such data seems to be kept in the codes.
