Recently I turned on my computer and every time this audio gauge appears, and is muting the volume on my entire computer:

Has anyone had any issues like this before? Or does anyone know any fixes? I'm on Firefox and Windows 10...

This is the default wundows volume overlay. From the top of my head there could be several reasons, including:

* A USB Audio Device (controller, headphones, etc) set to mute manually on the device.
* The mute key on your keyboard is stuck

There could also be software issues, but that's hard to diagnose remotely.

I usually try virtual machine software to check if any virus is tampering with audio.

If no registry keys are damaged, then look for file corruption. Try creating a new Windows account, clean temp files with a cleaner. Restore points help if created. If not, then simply reinstall the OS.

My issues disappeared with a software install on the laptop's manufacturer website, or Windows Update. My aunt congratulated me even.
