Hey from Hamburg
I am not really new but I just recently discovered this section of the forum so I am sorry for being a bit late to say hallo.
My name is Markus, I live in northern Germany but originate from the very south near the black forest, from Rottweil, that's the town where the nice doggies come from that steal Lara's backpack in AOD. I know the Tomb Raider series almost my entire life. It was actually my older sister who loved playing these games back in the 90s and I mostly watched her play because I was way to scared back then, (I was 5 years old when TR4 came out). To this day I remember how my mother, who was a very catholic woman, didn't like the character of Lara at all, and she always confused the Title Tomb Raider as the name of the character, saying stuff like : This TommP Rahidor is really no good role model. So my sister always had I hiding place for the CDs, otherwise my mother would have thrown them in the bin together with the clothes she deemed as to revealing. It wasn't until early 2000s when I finally managed to really play these games on my own and it was Tomb Raider 1 that I completed first. Playing these games always gave me a feeling of having something figured out or accomplished. Most of my live I have had difficulties because I have I rather intense case of ADHD and these games often times helped me when I felt useless or just weird. |

Welcome to the forum.
Despite the fact that I don't know you, I'm very confident that you are a genius; it's in a German's DNA to be a genius. I regret to say that I'm from the wastebin of Europe, also known as England. |
