Default Early screenshot of "Tomb Raider: Underworld" for PC.

Found this in the main game big files. Do you think it's from the PC version? Why does Lara's hair have a shine? It seems the PC version was exactly like the Xbox version.

Interesting, it seems like they were still deciding which outfit to use in which level.

Her hair looks kinda similar to those beta cutscenes they used in the Nintendo DS version.

It truly seems that the game's development was never properly executed. The issues with enemy deletion, dull colors, and the significant disparity between the PC version and the Xbox - wii - DS -PS2 version's quality highlight this problem. However, if a remaster is indeed on the way, it should involve a complete rebuild.

This would include improved colors, additional enemies and costumes, enhanced dialogue, and a more cohesive story. Reintroducing the deleted levels and refining them to fit the story would be a far better approach than simply adding downloadable content (DLC). The focus should be on seriously enhancing the gameplay and controls.

Interesting to see early screenshots of Underworld but it makes me sad knowing that the game did not live up to its potential. I like the hair a lot more in that screenshot and seeing Croft Manor makes me wish that we were able to properly explore it before it got destroyed. I remember during the intial teaser there was a lot of theories that Lara destroyed the mansion herself to fake her death and throw off the bad guys. I wish they had gone that route.

The game really lacked depth in the story...it was terribly short...the whole game was about Amanda and Natla a group of girls fighting over Thor's hammer...the lack of enemies was really noticeable the game was almost empty when I played the DS version I felt that it included elements that were missing in the PC version.
It would be fantastic if they could bring back the deleted characters and events. This would help complete the storyline with new events and costumes. It's a great opportunity for them. Many players are eager for the DLS because they feel the game lacks depth without it.

Agreed.

I imagine the DLC will make it in if they ever decide to properly remaster the LAU trilogy. Beneath the ashes and Lara's Shadow are two of the best levels in Underworld and the true ending to the LAU trilogy. I do hope we get to see LAU Lara again in some form as she was my first and favorite Lara.

Not only have “Beneath the Ashes” and “Lara’s Shadow” been eliminated, but there is much more to consider. You mentioned that there was no chance to explore Croft Manor in depth. Integrating these elements into the main story would have enhanced the overall experience rather than keeping them as separate gameplay pieces. The game could be significantly improved by adding more hours of gameplay, introducing new enemies, expanding the level design, and incorporating many missing weapons. Additionally, enhancing the graphics to a quality similar to "The Last of Us Part I" would give the game a more modern appearance. This approach could also surprise fans who may not have experienced or enjoyed “Tomb Raider: Underworld” before.
All versions of the game on every platform had numerous errors, and many were never updated, not to mention the ongoing control issues.

Let's be real. It's not like they are going to includ all the extra areas or rebuild the entire game.

At most they will upscale the textures, fix the camera and add the DLC.

These screenshots were the thumbnail images of the save files on the PS3 version of the game. One for each location (the one used for Croft Manor was the outside shot of the building, not the one with the screens).

I personally see no difference with the final version. Especially compared to the ones on this thread :
