Beauty is subjective, but that game has been used to smear Crystal Anniversary which is absolutely ridiculous based on how bad this remake looks and functions. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to massively disagree here.

Exactly, it's looks objectively inferior to even TR1 on a Sega Saturn back in 1996.

You are judging a product that was inferior to the AOD charts and more unfinished. It looked like a pre-alpha version.

Anyway, for me, it doesn't make sense to judge a product in that state

How else are we supposed to judge it, it's all we have to judge. Besides which this was used for marketing in trailers so I find it hard to believe the final product would have differed much.

The remaster is a great example of unfinished products in promotions

Just like SOTR trailers

Honestly, TRAE never really appealed to me so I have no interest in it being finished and remastered, even more so now that we have the actual TR1 already remastered.

The remasters differed a bit, but ultimately they didn't depart as much from what was shown.

The oversaturation of everything, the controls, Lara's model are all things I doubt they would have changed much towards final release.

There are many things that make zero sense level wise as well, like the waterfall in St. Francis, the caves being extended with different routes and the frozen lake with the ship in it.

Like a billion things are wrong with TRAE when compared to TR1. Not even Anniversary made that many changes to certain areas.

I understand that TRAE did not please you with all the unfinished material available

But I would have loved to have played it

At best they could include it as an unlockable, like the style units from Anniversary. I don't believe that this game will ever be remade or remastered outside of the TRLE community.
