There's possibly an elephant in the Loch and that is that The Lost Artefact is a commercial product, unlike the other two expansions. Distributing the files for TLA would give reason for the rights holders to seek compensation or, just outright DMCA the project. With the remasters it could be seen as a competiting product.
The work around would be to get the user to provide the files themselves and patch them. Which, with the remasters, would also give incentive to buy it! I bring this up because I would like to see this project reach completition without any more (existential) friction. |

^realistically Square Enix were never ever going to chase down this project.
Now we finally have an official release after so long as part of the remasters (which is fantastic news for Lost Artefact, being such a great levelset), they could, but I really wouldn't argue that it's competition. The convenience of simply downloading TR1-3 remaster bundle on an Xbox or PS5, cannot compare to downloading an ISO, burning it to a blank CD, and hoping you have a modchipped console from nearly 30 years ago. |

Will the release of the official "Remaster" mean the death of this project?
Isn't it at 95% completion? |

Really hoping that The Lost Artifact gets ported to PSX. I would love to be able to play it on Duckstation. It's the only classic TR not yet ported, hoping that the remasters hasn't killed the hopes of this project being finished

It almost seems fate about the remaster announcement really not at all long after he said goodbye to the community and left the assets |

Aw, that's a shame, but understandable! Here's hoping someone can somehow work some magic and make a 1:1 port feasible one day ^^
Having TR1-5, plus UB, GM, LA and Times all on a PSX would be amazing. Thank you for the answer! |

The Times Exclusive level actually more or less exists already on PlayStation. It's an abandoned beta level that eventually became the title screen's camera sequence. It's playable in one of the publicly available PlayStation betas.
