Best TR game since TR4. In a way if this was the last TR game, it would be totally ok.

Well, games take only longer and longer to develop nowadays and CD was stuck with the Avengers for a while so not that surprising really
Plus alot is riding on the next one so it's better they take time. If it flops, the next break in this franchise will be at least a decade long if not more |

today I discovered the Tomb Raider: Eclipse mod for this game. And, I also learned that there were found animations in the original game files with Lara wielding dual pistols. I wonder if it is possible to add these animations? Even if these can't be added, wouldn't be possible to create animations as others were created for the TR: Eclipse mod?

The animation blending doesn't really work. I don't know the extent of what modders can do with animations in Shadow these days, but I'd be surprised if it could be added to an acceptably polished level. |

So the other day I was on a date, who also likes Tomb Raider, but prefers reboot over the core games.
Since we are both suckers for lore in general, we had discussed the trilogy (and the comics too) and she made me realize something: In the scene where Unuratu and Dominguez are talking; and Dominguez says that he wants to protect the city: Unuratu's response is, that they should face the problem together. Isn't Unuratu naive a little? I mean we can see proof, that the people are somewhat aware of the modern times (plastic penguin, golden bug imitating an airplane, wooden gun replica, some of the residents are in the proximity of San Juan) But as a whole, I don't think Unuratu has any idea what the modern could bring to her city, potentially getting abandoned or even destroyed or extorted for profit. My question is: despite the 'misunderstood villain' trope, Dominguez was right;wasn't he? |
