Of course! It's not that it's shocking, but it's unfortunate because we have no idea how many cool ideas, collaborations, or spin-offs were passed on/rejected because Crystal cling to whatever future vision they have. And I'm not saying they're monsters for that, it just doesn't make much sense to me because nobody outside of this fanbase even knows about unified Lara. They should release the game, and then promote the hell out of the unification is my point.

Its a UK tabloid magazine much like the Daily Fail that's posting about the show being cancelled. Neither would be more credible than the other really, it's just nice that another press outlet is covering the project and contradicting the negative stuff.

The Netflix series was well received by the press, cut all the reviews bombing from all the allright neck beard, classic stans and all those with the word lesbian or woke in it and I'm sure those reviews tend to have the good score.

I think a TV show can work with a good story. Movies tend to sacrifice the time passed in the temples or Lara figuring out how something can be resolved in favor of a fast pacing adventure. When in fact we the audience should be invested with the character and how she need to resolve a challenge etc. Kinda like in the Indiana Jones movies.
It wasn’t well received actually to be honest! Were you watching the same Anime as everyone did? Whether classic stans as you emphasize on or general public they were right it was about lesbians and woke! Nothing Tomb Raiding in it like it wasn’t fundamentally intended for the fans!

Apart from that, no one asked for the Anime in the first place, it was poorly written in many ways! Not only because of what you said.

Just watched its trailer to fill my curiosity and turned out to be really funny! I wasn’t expecting she has that level of sense of humor! I guess she would do great if she intend to do comedy series rather than Tomb Raider or any dramatic action movie.

TR4 is nice yeah and Legend too but AOD is full of plot holes that makes it's story inconsistent.

Video games don't have to have strong narratives imo, especially for a game like TR which should be more focused on the gameplay.

But a Netflix television show, translating the video game media to the TV episode format, therefore needs the story to be the strongest element surely? If you're not getting a good story, then what else are you getting from a television version of the game?

Outside of the annoying "woke" stuff, it's more so the fact the anime completely contradicts itself with the reboot, to continue this endless origin story.
