Exclamation NGLE for TR3?

hi there all

I have a big question

synbly, why not create a ngle that supports TR3 objects, and build levels in the engine of TR3? the same thing that ngle knows, but that it works for TR1,2,3,4 (.TR4 by core) and TRC, I think it would be easier to build, because the DXtre3D it is very annoying and deficil to use in my opinion, will anyone be able to change the function of NGLE from TR4 to TR1, TR2, TR3 and TRC? because I think that this editor can not even do a switch trigger because of the error, already in the ngle and 1second and ready. is anyone able?

"Why not make a new NGLE that supports TR6 to SOTTR" sounds like the same kind of "why".
Making a program is not an easy task at all, but Monty, Lwmte and all other people who are actively working on it are doing it with Tomb Editor. For now it only supports the TR4 engine, but in the future it will support the TR5Main project (actually they are working on it already), which will support many features/enemies/objects from TR1-5, including much better compatibility with new systems, and much more freedom for builders to create what they want to create, and a better graphic engine. Basically, TR5Main + TE will make it useless to have compatibility with older engines, because we'll be able to do everything we could with the other engines, and more, and with many limits removed.

No need for that, because TR5Main will have the things of TR3. Not yet, since it's too early, but... above picture sums up the project really well (saving it btw ).

Glad you like it By the way, one reason your post might have caused confusion was when you wrote that currently TE only supports the “TR3” engine - you meant TR4 right?

DXTRE3D? That's the only editor that can make TR3 levels. And for TE, it works the same as NGLE basically (the way to make triggers is a bit different, but they way to set the triggers is the same).
