I paid £20 for RE2 remake. Because I didn't agree with them going non union with the VA's which meant no classic Claire and heard that they didn't do proper scenarios. It was great fun and all that resentment didn't get in the way of it because I got a patience discount

How well it does when it hits shelves is a big deal and they pay a lot of attention to that.
Could you elaborate on the difference between union vs non-union? I have a vague idea of what that means, but would like to know more.

It wasn't directly because of this but I believe it was surrounding this.

I just really really wanted Alyson Court to play Claire and think they should have gone out of their way to get her for the sake of the fans.

Thatís a good idea, but itís not always practical. Some games take a very long time to drop in price (looking at you, Wheel of fortune for the Wii U... ) and itís also hard to do this for digital purchases (waiting for a timed Steam sale, for example, that may or may not ever come). Sorry but I still donít think buying a game at launch is equivalent to endorsing 100% of it.

True but you are supporting it 100% by paying the most amount of money for it at the time they want you to buy it the most.

They know people find it hard and aren't afraid of taking full advantage of that.

It really sucks doing that to yourself, and it's very unlikely to amount to or change anything which makes it suck even more. But I guess like with Vegetarians it's just me not wanting to contribute to that anymore.

I'm a bargainbinarian I abstain from day 1 buying. Not a very admirable sacrifice but how hard people seem to find it is definitely no secret to all the wrong people in the AAA industry.

Well the question is, what does ďsupportĒ mean? If you mean financial support, 100% of that would be funding a gameís entire production costs. Full retail value is nowhere close to 100% financial support, thereís always more ways to give money toward a game if one is so inclined.

As a regular customer, not buying at day one does send a message. As does not pre-ordering or even cancelling a pre-order. There's not much one can do other than letting their wallet speak - in the end it's the only language business-people understand.

The only purchase that sends a message is the one you don't make.

Preorder, full price at Day 2-15 , on sale before the end of the fiscal year... to companies, they're all +1.
