Great, now try this.

Extract the textures from the model you just used.
Do not make any changes to the textures.
Insert the texture back into the model unedited.
Try the model again with a new game.

If this works then we will have narrowed it down to your edited texture.

OMG, this is totally my fault..too many years down the road.

You need to save the texture as DXT5 "WITH" 10 mips and the file size will not match the extracted.

The extracted files contain a .dat file that tells you exactly what the DDS file is and how many mips to use. I am sorry I forgot all about this.

Please try again and save your file as DXT5 with 10mips, thanks for your patience.

Nuts..

So unedited my model works ok but once you extract the textures and then re-insert, the model becomes unstable?

Try this I just edited it. Put it in the data/char file and start a new game

It would seem that I put the LaraD texture on LaraC1 and replaced the LaraD with the clean laraC1 model. I fixed the download so LaraD is LaraD and LaraC1 has the right texture. Download the file Larainterchangeables.zip again. This won't fix your current problem but you will get LaraD

That is correct. That is using both the model and the loader included in the download link in my post. So now we know you can run the model after the texture has been edited. We just need to figure out where things are going wrong.

Just a few reminders

The outfits you make will only work on the models in the download file. So be sure to link back to post# 160 for any outfits you upload.

After you save the game with downloaded LaraD then any of the provided models renamed to LaraD should work in the save game.

If you plan to continue through the game then make sure all the downloaded CHR files are in the data/char folder. This way when you save the game it will save the interchangeable lara models in the save files.

I would like to know if it's possible to modify the EXE with a hexadecimal editor to ensure that the ennemies don't disappear after the are killed.

I create a post for that :

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=210149

Somebody knows how to do please ?

I know that my question is weird, but it's to preserve the old tradition of the tree first Tomb Raider

I found how to do the same thing for Tomb Raider 4 et 5 if you are interested (I compared with a modified EXE of Tomb Raider 4 that I found somewhere on internet which allows to do that and I searched the good offset) :

"In Tomb Raider 4 :

Open the application "tomb4.exe" with the hexadecimal editor and go to the offset :

"00049C90", column "0A".

Then replace "01" by "00".

In Tomb Raider 5 :

Open the application "PCTomb5.exe" with the hexadecimal editor and go to the offset :

"00015410", column "02".

Then replace "01" by "00"."

Thank you for your answer

(sorry for my bad english, I'm French but I do my best )

Hello,

Someone knows please ?
