Tomb Raider - Biohazard
I thought it was about time to finally post a thread as enough progress has been made on this project. Inspired by the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake back in February, I've been building this project since then on an idea that I had many years ago featuring a younger Lara. I wanted to take a break from remakes and do something new. http://www.trle.net/sc/levelfeatures.php?lid=3372 ~Story~ Set in Northern Ireland in 1993, Lara finds herself stranded in the woods after visiting a friend. She soon discovers an outbreak of a virus which has spread throughout the local residents. Lara must try and find the source of the infection and stop it before it becomes a pandemic. ~Levels~ What started out as 4 levels has become 8 main levels, with 2 being split into two areas. Level 1 - The Residence ~95% Level 2 - The Mines ~95% Level 3 - The Foothills - Cliffside Station / The Foothills - Castle Grounds ~95% Level 4 - The Castle - Upperfloors / Lower Floors ~95% Level 5 - The Ruins ~95% Level 6 - The Chase ~95% Level 7 - The Locomotion ~95% Level 8 - The Invasion ~95% ~Features & Stuff~ - I would class this as a "Survival" themed Tomb Raider game, it has it's creepy moments but I wouldn't say it's a "Horror" level. It's heavily inspired by Resident Evil 2 & 4. - The gameplay is a lot more simplistic than my previous projects have been. I've taken a step back and planned a lot more of the gameplay so it's still challenging, but not as complicated overall. It's a lot less tedious. - Preserving ammo is crucial to survive, so you'll need to use your ammunition wisely. Pistols are still unlimited of course. - Zombies!! Zombies can only be killed with a Shotgun or Revolver (minus explosives). How many shots it takes to kill a zombie varies. It could take 1 shot or it could take 6. Risk ammo or make a run for it? You decide. - Nightmare Mode: Along with the game I'm planning a "Nightmare" version which will double enemy health and limit saves to typewriters located around the levels. Not sure if there will be any other changes for this mode. - Progress wise, I'm currently on the Castle level. The first 3 levels are pretty much done except final touches. I'd say the Castle is 70% complete and has been really fun to build. I should be moving onto Level 5 soon. I'm also really excited to build Level 6. It's something I've never done before and hopefully will turn out well. I'm aiming for a climactic ending. - I'm aiming for a release early next year, within the first quarter hopefully! ~Trailer~ ~Screenshots WIP~ (Click for larger) Last edited by Tombraider95; 28-06-21 at 08:50. |
