This so much.

I would also add that along with Lara the essence and identity of TR's gameplay was vanished as well (Chronicles doesn't count because it was a very short and rushed game even if it retained some of the great qualities of the previous games).

That accursed Temple of Horus took from us way too much.

No, not for the current trilogy.

I still hope that the Tomb Raider/Lara Croft I love will return.

Honestly no. After having played all 3 reboot games, I have no motivation at all to replay the classics. I love them and hold them dear to my heart, but I also can't be ****ed playing them at all and I don't know why. I also don't really care about future games either. Crystal and EM have really gone out of their way to kill the magic of this franchise tbh.

I love the old games like I always did.

I'm at the point where I've stopped hoping for anything like that again and have kinda made peace with it. The series died a slow and unfortunate death that was definitely over by Underworld and that's honestly fine with me.

This is an honest truth, Tomb Raider as we knew it died some time ago. Many would like a revival though, but the current creators seem incapable and unwilling to revive it.

Not really, my obsession of the franchise decade over time as the reboot trilogy was become more distinct from the original concept.
