I agree, though I think the camera angle has a lot to do with it. I'd love another fixed camera angle game.

This!
Why Capcom never bothered to give any future titles the same treatment is blasphemous. :/

That would be amazing, but it would also be wishful thinking... damn. :/

And sadly... We will never see it in HD...

As bad as I am at the originals I like the idea of that when you said it to me when we played. I also liked that version of 4 with the original camera angles.

Who cares about HD? Just go back and replay the game as it is... like any of us use to do.

I'd love that too! Only problem with a fixed camera angle game is that it really lends itself to tank controls. But you could have a sort of hybrid control system, like Fatal Frame 2, or just give people the option to switch like Silent Hill.

I'm sure they can implement a decent control system. Other games have had fixed camera angles at times and managed. Plus I'd love them to do what they did with RE3.5 where they have fixed camera angles for exploration and the feel but it switches to over the shoulder for aiming. They did it, presumably, on the gamecube engine 10 years ago so it should not be a problem now.

The camera angles won't work with the controls. Lost In Nightmare proves this. They'd have to go back to auto aim.

Specified camera angles and aiming over the shoulder (snapping back and forth) work just fine. But, a lot of gamers have this mental handicap that prevents them from controlling a character from different camera angles.
