I hated how predictable the plot of Baba Yaga was. I got the intention that they weren't even trying. I did like the hallucinogenic parts though.

IGN put Rise at #11 on its top 25 PS$ games:

TR 13 wins over Rise for me. I love Rise, I really do. It’s just I remember the first time playing the reboot and how scared, excited, and weird it felt playing it. How sweaty my palms were during the Oni warrior battle, and how happy I was to see how confident she was getting running in to defeat a army of Oni.

Same for me. I don't like long snowy sections in games in general. The storyline was a little overdramatic in Rise too, whereas it felt more natural in TR2013. Some of the campfires and voice recorders were borderline cringy even. There was more of this epic feeling in TR2013 which also tied together in such an amazing way, while Rise was a little inconsistent in this field. There were some (read as: not many; just a few throughout the game) sections that slightly bored me and where I had to drag myself through them. This sounds way more negative than I really am about the game by the way. I love them both

TR 2013 has a very special place in my heart even though i prefer Rise almost in any way. The game is iconic and starts a whole new era.
