Alistair Siddons is only in the IMDB credits for the same reason Rhianna Pratchett was on the 2018 movie: it is based on the characters he wrote, doesn't mean he had a hand on the new script though. If he had, he would have been already confirmed, since the screenwriter was the first person attached to this movie.

Geneva's name was also there for a while for the same reasons, but was removed for some reason. Maybe since Alistair basically rewrote the dialogue, the characters are more of his interpretation than hers...

I like these updates. Finland would be a good place. Beijin could confirm that they want the Chinese boxoffice.

Alistair retains those character rights which means they're probably reusing the first films characters as expected. Ana would probably be more of his/Geneva character solely on the surname and changes to her like making her English.

Daniel Wu isn't officially on the cast list yet but it's probably safe to assume his return. Perhaps they've waited a while to renew his contract due to new health issues that have arisen after his hospitalisation and have to work out some new terms.

After seeing these updates I really want to believe they're true because of the volume of them being added all at once and hope we get some official news on casting and possible filming dates this month.

I also notice that Warner is listed as the international distributor but not the US one, that makes sense considering it didn't perform well enough for them domestic but well in international territories.

Small update: the Leavesden studios were also added to IMDB, as previously reported.

I've just looked at some pictures of Finnish landscapes and wow, potentially they have such beautiful locations!

Finland looks great for a Rise setting.

I do worry that if they are adapting Rise, they might not have the budget for it. So a lot would be chopped, like TR2013.

I hope this time it's more atmospheric and dark, that could really have potential.
