Marvel makes dumb goofy movies and critics praise them endlessly but a video game movie like that would be torn to shreds, I do hope it has emotional weight.

I liked the last poster because the strength she gave off in this one she looks frail and overly fragile.

Still excited to get the magazine though.
last poster was heavily photoshopped. this one looks closer to actual actress

It could’ve been Tancha in disguise lol!!!!

The thing about "a planned trilogy" is bullsh... because of this :

From Roar interview on GQ : We drew a lot of inspiration and reference from the game and the entire Tomb Raider canon to develop our world, and I believe fans will recognize that.

Does they read sometimes... ?

Yeah and also apparently Justice League performed extremely well in Test Screenings so... I always think they are a better utility function in terms of getting a fresh take on what's missing from the film and what's not clarified in the story so they can plug those holes in reshoots. You'll never be drastically be able to change the shape of a film once you get to audience testing but you can try execute the vision it has to the best of it's ability.

Re: Critics, WB has been really courting them for this outing so it'll politically probably influence the reviews in a positive direction.

I think most of the audience who have seen the first trailer think "wow it's gonna be just the copy and past from the game it's gonna suck" and this is the secret card on their hand deck they had the surprise effect on their advantage this time.

Why is everything a planned trilogy before it's taken off these days? If the rumour is true, it might've helped them improve the film before release. I'd much rather have the one semi decent film than a series of 6 shallow ones like Resident Evil any day.

I honestly wouldn't put that much stock in any reports of test screenings especially since we have had reshoots. There's a lot the editing room and music department can do to combat this. I don't think this movie is in any danger of flopping regardless if we get a wide Chinese release.
