I just gave it a quick test and it seems to work well.
Don't know about the distant fog though. The room I tested it in wasn't large enough for the fog to kick in.

The only weird thing is that when I click setup and make the changes (turn volumetric FX on) the game starts with an earlier copy of the tomb4.exe... but that probably because things have gotten mixed up on my computer... the LE I'm using to build my HM levels is installed on the Win98 partition while I'm working in XP (shortcut on desktop)

I think I remember a thread that told that if you set the colour of the fog bulb with the colour palette it affected the fog colour in some way even though the flipeffect=number was supposed to give the fog a certain colour (I think the colours were mixed). So it might be possible to use fog bulbs with different colours from the general fog.

Giving the fogbulb a dark ambient colour (from the colour pallette) makes the fog less dense, which makes it easier to control the density of the fog bulb.
Well, that's my experience anyway.

It does not affect the actual colour of the fogbulb as far as I know.

Btw, the fogbulb I tested did indeed have the colour of the distant fog.
And when Lara crossed a flipeffect 22 trigger the colour of the fog changed to that colour.

Did you know the engine only draws five fog bulbs at one time? I had troubles with fog bulbs not burning at all, not even black. Right after my question I got a TREP update that enables more fog bulbs. See the topic and the update here

See post 99. Posted as soon as I saw your thread at TRLE. Thanks anyway.
I was unaware myself of this limitation, glad you asked it as I have quite a few fog bulbs in my new level.
