True colour versus High colour
Hello everyone.
After reinstalling TR III due to some issues with sudden missing files (damn those antivirus systems for deleting files without asking for permission first) I had to go through the setup again. Here you get the option to choose between true colour or high colour. Now my question is: what's the difference? Which one is the best? Thanks in advance |

Hey,
High Colour = 16 Bit per pixel (65535 Colours) True Colour = 24 Bit per pixel (~16.8 Mio colours) I'd go for True Colour. It offers a wider colour range and should produce more vivid colours. See also: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_depth Last edited by ANoDE; 22-01-19 at 12:26. |

The difference between High Colour and True Colour is as ANoDE stated, but it is probably very hard to notice during gameplay.
