^^ I never played any Quake games but it's interesting to see all the places where these textures showed up.

By the way guys, since you're talking about stock textures as well, do you maybe know where Core got their TR1 Peru rock textures from? I know those were found in the past, but the only thread that mentions them doesn't actually have them.

Isn't there a Glidos texture packet that actually recreated the Peru rock-with-snow textures perfectly? I know most of the Glidos packs suck beyond measure (personal opinion) in recreating the feel of the original - but I do believe there is one that recreated the textures 1-to-1 in High Res?

@Caseum - I can't remember the original source but I have it saved on my computer.
![]() ![]() @snake - I don't think any of the glidos textures were 1:1 - they were all quite different.

But the one I'm thinking of is by Matt Hill. He only did Caves and Vilcabamba and nothing else. But it might be a useful source considering what Caesum is working on. If you look at some of the rock textures, they seem to be accurate re-creations, even with the correct patches of snow added. https://www.tombraiderxtra.com/artis...tist=Matt_Hill Two different sides of the same room, but the textures taken by themselves still look like pretty close 1-to-1 recreations. ![]() ![]() Last edited by .snake.; 16-01-22 at 23:28. |

It looks like he just put more effort into matching the original textures, but the fine coloring and details make it clear it's different source pictures.

Alot of Game Devs got textures from Marlin Studios so you see alot of them in video games.
