It’s a shame but it is so.

But I agree with your message.
People on the internet are not majority, fortunately.
Maybe I was wrong about you.
I know what you're talking about. I'm British, so I certainly see this happening here though still it is nothing like what you see online.

All my friends, from every walk of life around me who are left leaning as well as right leaning still do not have the kinds of culture wars you see online. Nobody I know, including myself (who most would consider left leaning), who loves seeing representation in media have asked for existing white characters turning black, neither do we like black characters being played by white actors. Nobody around me also ever gets offended by things like skin being shown on women or words being thrown around, neither have I met any left leaning person in reality who is for any kind of censorship. Quite the contrary.

Maybe I am just lucky but I have only ever seen people who get crazy about these things online.

I saw a random twitter page dedicated to presenting Lara as a Lesbian for some reason, not sure why some people would say this represents everyone on the left. I certainly didn't ask for that lol.

Equally there's this twitter page that is dedicated to taking characters from games and makes them say crap like "You can't be trans" and literally, nobody I know in real life who leans to the right cares what trans people do to the point that they make their entire identity just about slandering them, even if they personally do not agree or understand it. Of course there are real violent people out there who will commit hate crimes, but I am speaking of the majority.

I think social media and the culture of the internet thrives on people staying online and engaging even if the engagement is senseless and childish arguments about issues that in the end, get blown totally out of proportion to the point of not existing the way people on there say they do. This is truly how social media makes money. I think it is dangerous because people start believing things that aren't true and bringing this anger into the real world and it is wasted energy, especially when you realise there are problems that actually exist that we could be spending our energy on instead of this pointless stuff.

I say this meaning well, all those comment section arguments, all those people saying 'woke' this 'bigot' that, all the claims of what each political view is doing - I challenge you to find me someone in your personal life in the real world who actually talks like that or thinks like that who isn't just someone repeating opinions the internet taught them.

I have already met this kind of people in life, they are minority compared to the internet it’s true, but they exist, especially in big cities.
I don’t live in a big city anymore so I don’t see them at all now.

But I agree with you, they are mostly present on the internet.

Yes, a minority that have no power.

The only minority that have power are billionaires not a bunch of whiny people obsessed with culture wars hahahahaha

Thanks for listening, just remember not to let the internet or a minority of people fill you with rage when you could be enjoying yourself. Tomb Raider is back, and the whole fandom can get together now.

No more 'woke' or 'bigot' chats!

Just to be clear.
Wokism destroys everything, as long as wokism is still there, I would fight against it.
Star Wars is dead.
Disney is dead.
Now Dragon Age is dead.

I don’t want the next Tomb Raider to be filled with moral messages like: it’s wrong to steal ancient relics from the people, white men are all assholes, we have to fight the white patriarchy, black men are all good people, it’s cool to be gay etc...

Is it possible to have an adventure game like before ?
Do you really want to see Tomb Raider die ? Not me.

People like me have always supported games when wokism didn’t exist, it was the best time of video games.
Look at the current state of video games today...

So when you say: "then you’re part of the problem".
Let me laugh.

Sorry, I didn’t know if it was an attack or a joke.
But don’t take it personally.
But now you know my opinion on all this.
