It isn't similar. Gamers got older, and there isn't a generation older than the eldest.

They've been on all these adventures. What more is there? I can't imagine a retired videogamer.

The 2013 era was just about young or old enough to make something more. It just so quickly advanced. It has been done, produced, even spin offed in 2023.
