Lyndsy Fonseca might not be too bad. Her eyes are wrong for Lara, but the rest of her is good. Like Gemma, she's getting a bit up there agewise though.

And why in the name of Jesus H. Christ would anyone suggest MILLA JOVOVICH to play Lara? What are you smoking? She's 39 years old, a mommy, and she's a Ukrainian!

I thought they were referring to Milla Kunis.

Milla Jovovich. She could have played older lara much better than AJ. People who say she can't act have not seen many of her movies like fifth element. Alice in RE is not her best work.

I agree. Though so could pretty much every other actress out there. Making a better Lara than AJ is probably the easiest acting job of the century.

Honestly, IMHO, AJ got the role because her face resembled Lara's somewhat, that was the major contributing factor.

Personally I don't think she looks very much like Lara at all. While her face isn't miles away like you mention, her body type is completely wrong for Lara which I suspect would be more important to Hollywood than getting her facial features correct (given that Lara's body in the games was pretty infamous ).
I think Eidos got it more right with most of their official models and seeing as Hollywood couldn't care less about staying true to the games when it comes to anything else I doubt they would take Lara's face in the game very much into consideration tbh.
I think the decision to cast Angelina has more to with the usual Hollywood synergy politics. Basically they had decided that Angelina was to be the next big name, therefore they gave her TR as a vehicle to propel her career. Hollywood is full of politics crap like that where they are working actively to make an actor into a star.

I don't think Mila Kunis would be a good Lara, they'd be better off getting her predecessor Lacey Chabert who does look quite like Lara. They’d have to dub her voice though, there’s no way she could ever sound like Lara! She sounds like a cartoon character, which is probably why she gets so much voice acting work!
