My least favourite part of Village so far, Moreau's section.
All that just to get a crank and turn the power back on, seemed a bit unnecessary to have to do all that. Is the solution for the puzzle to open the gate random, I looked it up on YouTube and the solution in the video didn't work same goes for the solution in a different video so I randomly pressed the buttons until I solved it which took a minute or two. The gate puzzle reminded me of the infamous and irritating water test puzzle from RE3 that puzzle on one occasion took me 4 very long hours to solve. Moreau's section could possibly slow me down when I do a speedrun playthrough. |

I think house beneviento is the worst culprit for replay slowdown.

When I first got to House Beneviento I didn't have a clue what to do, what little I had found seemingly didn't go together with anything else so I saved and quit when I got tired of walking in circles, when I reloaded and took a thorough look around I found the music box with the married couple on top that I had missed the first time around. |

Beneviento was to Village what the birthday escape room was to VII. Both were great 1st time experiences. Then they lose their magic.
Like Orange says, though, they are over in a few minutes. That's their replayability virtue.

I really hate that they didn't redo the cutscenes for third person. It takes away from the experience from feeling like a true third person game which is what I was hoping for when they announced it was getting the perspective.

I'm on my third playthrough of Village with a fully upgraded STAKE Magnum and it's shredding on Village of Shadows mode. The Rose DLC was cool.
My first Resident Evil game was Resident Evil 7, so I guess this makes me a reboot stan. ![]() |

Kinda ironic when you consider the entire era has happened following Rise, but before we got Shadow, with RE7 releasing in 2017. In that time TR has had one game Still struggling to find itself and RE has had 4 released that have largely hit the mark (2 of which being remakes of classic games) and another on the way in the coming months.. I'd liken RE5 and 6, Operation Raccoon City and Umbrella Corps era as their era equivalent to the reboot era.

Lmao yes, RE7 is basically RE1 is first person. They nailed the classic formula hands down in that game. So if you liked RE7 then you will like the other RE games for sure.
On that note I finally started my RE0 playthrough with hopefully finishing it this time. I'm already extremely annoyed without item boxes.
