Hello Woops, on Linux tomb4 does not work "as this".
First time I replaced original Tomb Raider 4 exe by your TOMB4 exe, it simply did not launch. I looked at the debug log and I saw your exe depends from a DLL, xaudio2_9.dll. Once I placed this dll in the same folder as tomb4.exe, I can launch the game and everything seems to work normally.

^ This is so beautiful!
I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet - would you say 30 is the best setting? |

the clipping has been fixed, no matter what fog distance you use (default is 12 btw, not 15)
you can see it here ![]() ![]() And yes, colored fog (found in Vally, KV5 and Desert Railroad) can't be adjusted.

I haven't played this game for 10+ years and it is my all time favorite. Thanks to your work I decided to play it one more time and even registered to the forum instead of just reading to report a couple of bugs, but they were already resolved. Well I found a new one - in the Citadel level if you goof up switching the first lever that releases bubbles from the pipe before closing the lid water level will not drop. With the original exe you are able to push the lever back and drain water but with the new you are not. You can check this savegame.

I agree! I feel like the black fog was more a product of the time while the others are more an artistic choice to simulate certain atmospheric types, so I'm stoked they work independently.

I seem to recall the PS1 levels using the black fog for those levels, probably due to the technical limitations of that console at the time.

Great work, Troye! I just wanted to report 3 bugs I noticed:
1) The inventory itens get affected by the underwater distortion: https://imgur.com/o3JsLXS 2) Some places are lit in a strange way: https://imgur.com/QTHrdj9 https://imgur.com/WmywGJZ (the base of the globe) 3) This place in citadel gate: https://imgur.com/x3j220Y https://imgur.com/T59ZQ09 (from ps1, which has a shimmer effect) |
