Damn I thought there was an update. *yawn*

What's the difference between a Lead Narrative Designer, a Narrative Director and a Lead Writer?

1 designs, one picks the bests, 1 maybe rewrites the best picked. Something like that. Long story short. Team work.

So I take it John Stafford takes no part in the writing process this time?

Since this is part of a Women's History Month thing, he could still be part of the writing team and simply not be part of this panel.

What a lineup. My favorite is definitely the one with the blue hair. Can't wait for team Jawbreaker to give us Project Jawbreaker.

I wonder if these ladies are genuinely responsible for the story, or if this is just false posturing and pandering - similar to how they paraded around Rhianna Pratchett, only for it to come out years later that she didn't really have that much say.

My guess is that anything "Narrative" related is about the story's direction as a whole; while anything "Writer" related is about the actual writing of the script, character lines, dialogue etc. But I could be wrong.

For example, in TR2013, I believe Rhianna was credited as 'Lead Writer' because she had some say in the dialogue of the scenes but didn't have any control over the story-as-a-whole when she came onboard.

Honestly, I hate to see this thread updated because every time it brings up a whole bunch of incomprehensible political debate.
I don't care about gender or anything, I just want the author of the game to be someone with real power.

I guess the general direction of the story is still in the hands of Noah Hughes.

I'm not sure if Noah is still involved in TR. I hope not. I remember him being the one during the anniversary stream perpetually defending the parental-storylines they've saddled us with for 6 games now.

I think, as Patrick mentioned, John Stafford is still the Narrative Director for the entire project.

In the Crystal Dynamics 30th Anniversary Documentary, he looks in good spirits. I'm 100% sure that Noah Hughes will still be the creative director of the next TR.
I think every CD employee would defend that, they wouldn't deny themselves.
