Hey there, I looked through the change logs and couldn't find this listed, so I wanted to ask if this project adds in an increased draw distance like TR2main does, and if not, if that is something the creators would like to add at some point.

Hi,
I had a small technical problem in the Lud's Gate level. Not only did Lara have a flare in her hand after firing it (it stayed while picking up the harpoons), her arm was very bent. I entered the water. Lara couldn't get out of it, and she couldn't get the new flare out either. I didn't have a harpooner in my inventory.

If the game can't load the script file, then either:

A: The trtla.dat file is missing or in the wrong folder. Did you follow this guide when installing it?

or

B: Something is blocking access to it, like an overzealous AV. Try whitelisting the folder to see what that does.

Thank you. This worked, i couldn't find the installation guide for some reason. It be nice if the guide is in the front page of the GitHub.

Is there a way to load custom FMVs ?

just like tomb5 and tomb4, it is a decompilation project that, first and foremost aims to document and preserve the original source code and assets of the game, and secondly, aims to provide bug fixes and gameplay improvements in many sections of the game.

We are fully open source, and our code can be used anywhere under the aforementioned license in the repository, along with credit

Check out the changelog for the full list of fixes and additions! Highlights include: PSX Bars, fixed bugs, properly scaled effects, and much more!

Grab it here: releases page

Please make sure to read the using guide, it has important info and answers to a lot of frequently asked questions. if you can't find your answer there, be sure to ask in here

Happy Raiding!
I can only get this to work by starting a new game. Also, I couldn't get the textures to work as you did for TRLR. I like the config tool. How can I use my old save games?

Hi, distance fog is controlled by the / and * buttons on the keypad, it is an original feature. It hasn't been increased beyond that, though.

This should have been solved in the last release, are you sure you are using that? To check, you can right click on tomb3.dll and open the details tab. Should be under "File Version" or "Product Version" (they're the same), Latest is V1.6.0

Almost every post I have in this thread links to and practically begs people to read the guide, it's pretty out there.
I can add it to the front page of GitHub but it won't change anything. in fact it is there for my other project, tomb5, but still no one reads it.
and no, it's not possible to do so yet.

Did you do as the guide says and moved your saves into the new saves folder?

One thing I've always found odd about the PS1 version is this weird bug. If you position Lara with her back against a wall and press Look, the camera goes inside her head and her braid disappears:

I've never seen this happen on the PC version. Not asking Troye to add this "feature" to tomb3, but I was wondering if he could explain why this only happens in the PS1 version?

If I had to take a guess, I would say it probably has something to do with the PS1 not having a Z-buffer. That is the reason why you constantly see polygons flickering and clipping in front and behind each other in PS1 games. The Z-buffer is In charge of deciding where things are supposed to be rendered in relation to the camera and since the PS1 doesn't have a Z-buffer, it kinda just has to guess.

Thats just my own guess, I don't know for a fact though.
