Temple of the Cat. I really wish the level order was reversed (first the Atlantis section, then Egypt, so I have something to look forward to). Because as soon as I finish with Temple of the Cat I have no interest in playing the rest of the game. I never liked the design of Atlantis anyway. It's just flesh membranes and rock ad nauseum...

Return to Egypt

I normally prefer the Atlantis levels as I did in TR1, but something just feels off with them in the expansion.

Plus it was nice to return to Khamoon

Atlantean Stronghold - love the layout, tense mutant encounters, and "foreshadowing" with the centaurs trapped behind windows. It's a beautifully designed level, but that's par for the course when it comes to the Gold expansions.

Easy man! Stronghold, coz i can skip over 95% of level just by jumping in a single hole!

Some people still think that was done by accident to this day, i'm telling you if it were, there would not be a convenient pool of water beneath the massive drop that so happens to line up perfectly with the rooms below and honestly it spoils the adventure anyway, unless you are doing a speedrun, of course.

I didn't know about this! I was also going to say Stronghold, but for an entirely different reason. When I played through this level for the first time as a kid, I was excited when I realised the ramp at the beginning was the same one from The Great Pyramid. I had always wondered where it led, and then I knew

For the CAC competition I'm building a level inspired by Temple of the Cat. There's just something very mysterious and intriguing about that level!
