I bit the bullet and got in on MS Store.
![]() It would be so funny and annoying if they will release the updated version on Steam in the next few days. ![]() |

Good thing that I bought it cheap, for about 7 euros from a key site. ![]() By the way guys.. Does Rise's version on MS Store feature all the extra effects from the Series X version? Also, I have another question... How do you prevent screen tearing in DE? If I enable VSync, the game is confined to only 30 FPS. Last edited by AimlessThunder; 12-05-24 at 09:26. |

LOL I bought this game yet one more time (PC disk, PS3 disk, PS3 digital, PS4 disk, GOG, and now on Microsoft Store
![]() Overall it's probably the one that aged the worse in the series. |

I've been playing TRDE on PC and... yeah nah I'm not impressed
![]() The only true positive: DLC skills already unlocked, meaning I get to jump-roll my way through from start to finish and the handgun has a suppressor out of the box. Graphics wise it doesn't look better, but just different: higher contrast, godrays here and there make some environments look more vibrant, there's different looking X360 foliage but it's still X360 foliage... and Lara, yeah, she looks like she's wearing someone else's skin. Everything other bad detail is still there, e.g. the camera has mind on its own when you walk, there's still no option to reduce the camera shake etc. EDIT btw, I don't know is this was already mentioned, but the only way to cap the framerate of this thing to 60fps (or whaterver your monitor supports) is to do so by adding another executable called TombRaider.exe to your framerate capper (I use riva tuner) and just apply the cap. If you attempt to do that on the actual TRDE executable, Windows will block the operation just like for every MS Store game... but because RivaTuner applies framerate cap to games based on the name of the executable, it will work on TRDE just fine ![]() Last edited by killchan; 13-02-25 at 02:12. |

In my opinion (and of course on my computer) the visual upgrade is significant, the game looks much more "three-dimensional". The disadvantage is, as you mention, the strange implementation of v-sync/ frame cap and the higher system requirements. I loose about 5-7 FPS compared to the vanilla version. |
