Default Game crashes to desktop when you push action

This seems to be a rare problem but one which myself and srdanielponces have dealt with.

In my CaC level, I have a few areas when the game will crash immediately when you push action without anything to grab or pickup.

I have tried merging portals and raising/lowering ceilings and floors but so far, no luck. What does work are two things -

1. Placing a solid ceiling without a portal above the platform/surface where crashing occurs.

2. Copy and pasting (using TE) the room into a new project

Any suggestions about what this could be and what I could do would be appreciated.

Are you using any custom animations that make use of animation scripts? If so, try removing them temporarily and see if it still crashes.

Is it enough just to remove the script or do I need a default Lara without extra animations?

Just the script lines.

Wow, that actually worked. Thank you.

Luckily, this is a CaC level, so there are barely any instances where the custom moves are needed. I will post again if I find further errors as I have only tested one room so far. But it seems to have solved the issue.

Well, it's a workaround, not a solution though.

It's probably one animation command that does this though, not all. You could narrow it down to fine the problematic line. Mind that I'm not saying it's not the line itself that is the issue, but probably a bug in TRNG that happens to manifest with it. We're several people to have had that and this was the issue, but every time the line was a different one (only common case is that it was teiggered by the Action key, but I'm not even sure this is related at all).

Hm. Well FWIW I had three scripts. Crawlspace flexibility, wall jumping and monkeyswing to ladder transition. I'll keep an eye out throughout the alpha/beta testing.
