Missing sound effects in game

On the title screen, everything is fine but after starting the game, the sound effects disappear while the music stays. What's going on?

You didn't accidentally turn down the game's audio? (since music is a seperate volume option.)

Is sound enabled in the game's launcher? with the volume sliders up.

No. All volume sliders are at 100% but speech and sound fx are not heard.

EDIT: The SFX are there but not all. The ones that are there are very quiet. Speech is still missing

Sorry for double post but I have fixed the problem. My speaker settings were set to 7.1 Surround for some reason. Changing to Stereo fixed the problem
