Super interested in this because of the director (Train to Busan, Hellbound).

Everything Everywhere All At Once. This is a weird and confusing film. It did keep me hooked until the end, though around the middle, I thought it was just going to be one endless fight, even if through different universes. Threaded though the chaos, there is quite a simple and endearing story of families and acceptance and the way it's handled is quite unique, but the point isn't really made or understood until the end.

^It's my absolute favorite film. I thought the message was always pretty clear from the start. A woman who has too much on her plate and has a lot of regrets and hatred toward certain elements of her life is shown these different perspectives to help her appreciate what she has. I think the most touching part of the film is her relationship with her husband. It is so relatable to my current relationship.

OTTO at the movies. Really, really good movie. All the characters were really interesting. Shows how small interactions with people can affect your future. The theatre we went to said the movie has been 50%+ occupancy since opening.

Finally watched M3GAN, and I loved it the whole way through. I'm already excited for the 2.0 sequel that has just been announced.

A Jazzman’s Blues - 2022 - Tyler Perry’s tale of forbidden love and family drama unravels 40 years of secrets and lies against a soundtrack of juke-joint blues in the Deep South. - really really good movie.
Lost Girls 2021 - desperate to find her missing daughter a mother fights to uncover the truth and helps expose a string of unsolved murders. Based on a true story.

Catherine called Birdy, with Bella Ramsey, Lesley Sharp and Billie Piper. In medieval England a young girl does all she can to scare away suitors her father has chosen for her in order to marry her off for the dowry. It's really fun, full of well known British actors. Bella Ramsey is excellent as the rebellious Birdy. On Amazon Prime.
