![]() ![]() But when it comes to Angelina Jolie returning as Lara Croft in the movies, I gotta be real with you... It's looking kinda unlikely. ![]() I mean, she'd make an epic Lara's mom, especially if they do a movie with that original aristocratic backstory. But as for our leading lady, Alicia Vikander did a solid job in the last Tomb Raider flick, though I agree, the script could've been better. And hey, while she did great, some of us still feel she's not quite the spitting image of classic Lara. ![]() If they're doing a direct sequel to the new movie, maybe sticking with Alicia would keep things consistent, ya know? But if they're looking for a fresh face to rock the dual pistols and raid some tombs, I'm totally down for that too! ![]() Let's keep our fingers crossed for some epic Tomb Raider adventures ahead, no matter who's wearing those iconic boots! |

There is no way she's doing a TR movie. She had to train a lot to be come athletic enough to do the character. She talked about how exhausting it was to play Lara.

I think she still would be amazing as Lara Croft. But I don't think she would agree to do it. It would need a very very good script and high budget to get a tiny chance to get her back lol

It is symbolical that they'd feature different movie titles. See movies as a babysitter with educational value. A program to learn information from. A puzzle to a puzzler. A cure to boredom. A way to get what. A miracle loop, over and over again. A possible answer to your questions.

Well there's a question. Would the producers and directors of another movie, if there is one, ask Angelina and would she accept? There's no way of knowing. My guess is they'll want to cast someone new, perhaps an actress who can pull off whatever they're looking for in the Unified universe/ Lara.
I'd have loved Alicia to come back, but the same thing applies.

You sort of make it sound nightmarish to enact a Lara.

I think this would be the best option.

Didn’t they ask her to do a third film but she said no? I think she’s done with TR as much as I’d love to see her return. I think they are gonna hire an actress who will cross over between the show and films, so whoever they choose will have to basically fully commit to pretty much only being Lara most of the time. That actress who played the human version of Ursula in the new Little Mermaid film would be a great choice

For example, Wanted, Salt, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Even Those Who Wish Me Dead. Lara is inextricably connected to all those films through Angie. Fascinating phenomenon how the miracle seeps into everything and yet, what is the purpose of that function? What is the overarching theme of all these versions of Lara in different scenarios? More importantly, what is the end goal? Is there some sort of overarching inevitability baked into a mirroring multiverse of boredom-busters? A strategically placed convergence point? Is the question even answerable? Are the architects of this network of story systems aware that Lara appears everywhere, or is it not even intentional? I would think that it would have to be for the educational value to be timeless.
