The same can be said about Leon's voice actor in the RE2REMAKE he put no effort into playing his part as a result both his scenarios were a chore to play.

There's a scene in The Simpsons where Krusty turned up to record his lines for something I forget what exactly, anyway he walked into the room quickly said his lines and left the room before they had a chance to set up the recording equipment.

That's what I think it was like when Leon's voice actor was recording his lines.

Leon's voice actor isn't that great and he delivers a phoned in performance that makes Leon sound as lifeless as the Zombies roaming the halls of the RPD.

In comparison Claire's voice actor did a much better job than Leon's voice actor and made Claire feel more alive than Leon.

The part of Leon should have been recast with a more experienced voice actor like for example Troy Baker, Elias Toufexis aka Adam Jensen from Deus Ex Human Revolution and Deus Ex Mankind Divided even David Hayter would have been a better choice than Leon's voice actor.

Leon's voice actor is the second worst voice actor I've seen in a game, the other being Kiefer Sutherland who phoned in his performance in MGS5 Phantom Pain having to listen to and endure Kiefer's dull monotonous tone throughout the game made playing Phantom Pain a chore.

@Dragonslayer

The difference is, Leon has always kinda been that way and it suits his character. I think he did a good job, especially in RE4remake.

However Ada has always sounded a particular way, and this latest incarnation stands out as a departure from that. Ada is supposed to have this mystique about her, and imo that doesn't come through in this voice.

In the original RE2 not so much he was far less serious than RE2REMAKE Leon who has clearly had a personality bypass.

In the original RE2 Leon while not being anywhere near as serious as his RE2REMAKE counterpart still recognised the seriousness of the situation and came to the conclusion that there was only one logical course of action escape from the RPD and Raccoon City.

In contrast to original Leon RE2REMAKE Leon's priorities are all over the place and he's for whatever reason dead set and insistent on reporting to the chief when his only 2 priorities should be survival and escape.

His repeated insistence on reporting to Chief Irons got very old very quickly.

If RE2REMAKE Leon had gone to The Hive from the first movie and found the Zombies and everything else that was running around The Hive what do you think his course of action should be survive and escape or insist on reporting to the chief which would be difficult when he's a mile or more underground and however far away he is from Raccoon City.

So I stop in the middle of chapter 3 in Separate Ways. I love the new tracks for the merchant and the save menu. I chose standard mode but somehow I have auto assist.
Some combats can be hard but not impossible.

I've just started Chapter 3. Ada's handgun is too good, it might even be better than Leon's starting gun.

Finished it in just under 4 hours, that's a beefy DLC! For the price it's a lot of content, I didn't even do most of the merchants side tasks either. Tried Wesker in Mercenaries and as per usual anytime they let you play as Weskser he feels underpowered and dull to play, Ada is a fun time though.

I feel like I got a compete deal for $10 - it took me 7 hours. Originally, Seperate Ways was clearly a fleshed out extra that reused a significant amount of content from the base game. Here, even with reused bits, it feels far more fleshed out than the original, with a sprinkling of new area, “cut” content, and entirely new ideas.

The second to last chapter felt very, “Let’s do a dry run of desperate escape.”

I also love that Ada has her own unlockable content. You can’t use Luis and Wesker’s costumes in Mercs, but oh well.

Just finished Separate Ways, took me 5 hours and 44 minutes! Not bad for a 10 dollars DLC!

I really enjoyed it in terms of gameplay, Ada is a lot of fun to play. However they really neutered her character in RE4, it’s a shame. She was so fantastic in the original and in the RE2 remake, but this person… is not Ada.

They should also be ashamed of themselves for not giving us a remade classic outfit. The dress they included is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. But they included perfect classic outfits for Wesker and Luis? No RPD outfit for Leon? It just doesn’t make sense.
