The software only works on Linux, not Windows.

Same
But even if it doesn't it was very kind of Timotheus to leave us the directory of his work.

Be patient. B122251 only left the community some weeks ago. Fellow smart cookies like him may need some time to examine what they may be able to work on. It won't be anytime soon

I've been looking at it, but it's going to take time. According to b122251, it's 95% complete. It requires save crystals for levels 4, 5 & 6, and "Sleeping with the fishes" requires finishing.

Save crystals need to be added to levels 4, 5 & 6. The Windows version has no save crystals, but as this conversion is based on TR3 for the Playstation, they will need adding. If anyone wants to give suggestions for save crystal placements, you can do this with the Windows version.

"Sleeping with the fishes" requires finishing but, as yet, I can't determine where.

I'm really keen on getting this finished, but I don't think I can do it alone. I don't even have the Windows version for comparison/testing.

I may be wrong, but b122251 left some important, and lengthy instructions as to what was wrong with "Sleeping with the fishes" level.

Also, may i suggest that for those without the windows version of "The Lost Artifact" can go to evpopov.com site, and view every level with mouse and keyboard, just select TR3 GOLD levels in that browser, it works as a sort of "free look" camera + fly cheat.
That way choosing save crystal placement can become less time consuming, and just easier.

Oh, and PSX specific patches that can modify TR3 engine functions, to TR3 GOLD compatible, were also included somewhere in those folders.

Indeed he did, and the first comment is: "Level is too big."

At the time of writing this, the project is about 95% done. All levels except Sleeping with the Fishes are finished. The binaries are finished as well. There are some TOMBPSX-files to be done (especially the Japanese translation), and some legal/title screens are still missing.

Mr B and I did chat on a somewhat regular and friendly basis and Sleeping with the Fishes was something he mentioned was very problematic for quite some years.

I couldn't ascertain, is it the fact that the level has too many rooms? Or goes past depth and height limits idk. Something obviously very troublesome.

I don't actually recall the level itself entirely from start to end originally- is there maybe a part of the level (Lara can't return to previously) which could serve as a split level? If that would solve this specific levels problem.
Yet that would be a big deviation from trying to port these games as 1:1 as he could like he did with tr1g and tr2g.
