I'm glad it's all in one zone.

Yeah, that was something we really wanted to do, since the separate loading zones aren't needed at all nowadays.

Do youse have a ballpark estimate of how "restored" the game is so far? I think I'm thinking more in terms of the narrative and cut environments with that.

It's so wonderful to see how much of a deep love fans hold for AOD! It could've been such a timeless experience if it was given the space it needed!

It reminds me of the Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition, the passion here

Most of our largest ideas have been tackled already, we based new story elements heavily off of Murti's ideas.

There's still certain things we're wanting to look into, but overall all of the largest issues story-wise are taken care of already.

So I've finally sat down and finished Restoration Project.

I know I started my playthrough a few patches back, reinstalled AOD and it turned out it still had my old saves, so I loaded that save (just before fighting Brother Obscura) with the most recent patch and it worked, so I can only comment on the second half of the game with the new patch. (So if anything changed in the earlier levels I can't comment on them.)

My only complaints for the second half of the game is really just The Lost Domain. (moving the lever for the timed section further back and the fire traps that will kill you without warning since they set Lara on fire and there's no water, I presume at least the fire traps are unfair more due to being an in-progress implemntation, since at least for me the fire traps always started while I was already mid-jump so there was no wayto avoid them.)

Otherwise, I loved alot of the reimplemented cut lines such as hearing the panicking people in the apartments as Lara and the Cleaner fight it out which was especially great and unexpected.

The increased amount of enemies was also appreciated.

I'm glad this mod exists to finally give us a more finished AOD.
