I am eternally grateful that Capcom dropped the god-awful dodge mechanics from Revelations 1. What was in Rev 2 and RE3R was way better.

Claire's face model in Revelations 2 was giving Tobey Maguire vibes.

I did an ugly snort laugh the first time I saw someone point out it's giving Tobey Maguire. She didn't look the best, I must say. The outfit and hair was giving, but the face not so much.
I do think it's kind of weird they removed her "good with kids" personality trait so they could give that to Moira instead, but I didn't mind her more mature characterisation otherwise. She's supposed to be in her early 30s by that time. Also yes the dodge mechanic from the first game was atrocious. Last edited by Yeauxleaux; 29-05-23 at 00:05. |

I mean, you never had to use it past the tutorial. And against some enemies it's so trivially easy to do... Honestly I found the Rev 2 dodge to be the useless one.
I do remember one person never finishing the final boss because they thought you had to dodge. Like, try shooting the glowy weak spot? Last edited by Uzi master; 29-05-23 at 02:23. |

Am I the only one that realized you can stagger the final boss out of all his attacks? Just shoot his heart whenever he appears, no dodging necessary. I honestly didn't know you could dodge him for the longest time, because staggering him was so easy and consistent! I forgot about the observation tower boss, admittedly, but he's so ridiculously easy to dodge, you have like a two second window to do it. (You can also dodge just be pressing forward.) Rev 1. Though she had a glowing spot too... Last edited by Uzi master; 30-05-23 at 03:01. |

I never use the dodging mechanics in any RE game besides Remake 3. Remake 3 is the only game that really forces you to use it.
