I decided to watch this. It was pretty good. I can kind of see the similarities to TR in the beginning. A young woman alone left to survive. Whilst it was a plane crash, I think it has a bit more in common with TR2013 than the core era backstory. Mainly because of the setting and survival elements.. Change the setting to a mountain range with snow, you'd have a similar setting to the core era as well, I suppose. I think many people kind of gloss over the fact that C-Lara would have had to survive those mountains, and all that entails, finding food and water, making fire, finding shelter.

The Tomb Raider 1 level design is just unmatched imo. Everytime I decide to kill some time and fire up Tomb Raider 1 on my phone I get sucked into it for a while because the level design is just simple, brilliant, and fun to navigate. We really didn't need the big open world TR style games we've had. I really want to go back to having intricate levels to explore rather than open world maps.

I agree it made no sence because in TR 1/2/3 her personality is almost the same (and TR2 isn't really the best
showcase of it.)

For the reboot to Shadow we have an evolution of the character same for Last Revelation to AOD, or Anniversary until Underworld.

So I just don't really see the point but oh well it's not my content ^^
