Hey

IN the next update: Fog Bulbs are making a come-back.

https://streamable.com/xzuc0v
  • Fog bulb colour is changed like any other light inside Tomb Editor. No more flipeffects.
  • Fog bulbs also now cover the sky too. This is a first of TRLE!
  • The maximum fog bulbs you can have on screen at any one time is 32.

Playing around with the prerelease and these are major updates. Fog bulbs and outfit changes are so easy now

Just remember you will have to update again because there are a few fixes coming before releasing.

Of course I know you guys probably hear this a lot but thank you for all the effort and generosity you've put into this. It's nothing short of genius and it's just what this community needed to freshen up the custom level world. Given how much this has grown in the last two years I can't wait to see what will happen in the next 10.

Sorry for double post however this is important:

The packages have been updated to include 2 very important fixes: fix fog density (intensity) formula (so now the intensity setting in TE should be between 0.01 to 1.00 etc) and a crash with electtricity arcs when using x64 bit version of TEN,

for those who already started using 1.6.7/1.0.9, you can just update projects with update zip archive, as usual but full reinstall recommended because TIDE template is also changed.

Will there ever be proper 3d rotation in the gyro for objects in Tomb Engine, so that we can fully decorate our levels outside of the objects being either vertical or horizontal?

TEN already supports it. Several objects, such as teeth spikes, dart emitter and some particle emitters support full three-axis rotation. It is specified by a setting in trcatalog.xml.

Theoretically you can try to unblock same option for e.g. animatings, but their behaviour was not tested with full rotation and not guaranteed to work correctly. Most likely you will run into collision issues, because as original TRs, TEN don't natively support fully rotated bounding boxes for collision (yet).

Hey guys,

I spoke to AkyV and my tutorials will now be in tutorials and resources section of TRLE. Just in case if there will be an inflow of threads here in future, and tutorials will be buried.
