That's Digimon World 1. I never got that one. I do have Digimon World 2003 but they haven't released a Digimon World game in the EU since Digimon World 4. I'm waiting for Lost Evolution to become available in the US before I import it.

srsly who wrote the lyrics and who composed it??
Answer: Shuki Levy and Paul Gordon. Although Shuki's in-episode score was quite good, especially since Season 2.

That song was re-used in seasons 2 and 3, but with variations to the 'lyrics'.

You don't know where I might find some of that score, do you? Unfortunately it's not on his website.

Or you might try Udi Harpaz's website, he has some cues from the movie.

EDIT: http://www.udiharpaz.com/projects/digimonmovie/

Some of those remind me of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog

Why didn't they put these on the movie soundtrack?

I absolutely LOVE the first two series! (the rest are meh for me) One of the first anime series I watched as a kid, and I still rewatch it once a year! Ah the memories.... :')

We are talking of what was once Saban Entertainment. They figured we'd only want the songs, not the powerful BGM used in the movie and the show. Hence them giving it out to Maverick records, those behind The Matrix - Music from the Motion Picture (featuring only the songs). Unfortunately they seem to have been rather amateurish in regards to soundtrack releases - that attitude towards it is a fast-track to bootlegging, and there will always be demand for a bootleg if there is no official soundtrack available.

I did contact Udi Harpaz. Unfortunately he's unable to release more of the score that what's on his site due to liscensing reasons. I don't know if we can get hold of Shuki Levy, and the other composer, Amotz Plessner, has a website but no samples. I have a feeling Udi's answer would be universal, despite another anime dub having its soundtrack unofficially released.

Currently, Disney holds the rights. Who knows, maybe they'll be a bit more forgiving.

Well actually, I read a while ago that Disney don't have the rights to the music in some Countries, which is why it hasn't been on in the UK for years. I think the only places they can show it now is Japan and Canada.

I would like the BGM from the first Season, that was really nice
