I think that's why I dislike S5 and S6 so much. It became less about them being sister witches and more about 'protect the baby' and 'let's invent a load of rubbish about another child because Holly is pregnant this year'.

I know a lot of people felt the overall quality of S7 and S8 was lower than S5 and 6 but the former two at least brought it back to being about the 'Charmed Ones' rather than their overly powerful magic baby.

I completely disagree, season 5 and 6 were great seasons. Besides which they mostly explored the sisters relationship by season 5. What more was there to really uncover besides Paige's issue with growing up as an only child and having to learn how to rely on others which was a theme in season 4,5, and 6. I loved Chris and Wyatt, the story of how Wyatt really became evil and exposing the Elders as the extremists they could be. Then having Leo really change due to his trauma with older Chris getting murdered after having finally made a real bond with his son, it was super emotional and really good storytelling.

Season 7 to me is where the quality went down because it became more about their normal lives and the demons just didn't really have any meaning like they used to. Demons used to carry a theme with the overall story of the episode, like Prue and the ice cream truck.

It was so heart warming to see the three of them hugging like this. They have genuine care and respect for each other. I wish Alyssa was the one who left because she obviously was the problem and continues to be a thorn in all of their sides. I know Shannon and Alyssa said they were cordial now, but ain't no way Rose and Alyssa will be cordial at all. Especially with what Rose revealed in her book about Alyssa's behavior on set sometimes.

Besides which Alyssa never comes to these Charmed conventions. Not even when one of them was just Holly by herself. Idk how much Alyssa actually still cares about Charmed.

It also seems pretty clear that if the reboot was renewed for Season 6 and the producers of the reboot asked the original cast to come back they would have came back in some way. I didn't know they actually asked Brian to come back as another character as a gag to the original show.

Lmfao as sweet as Roses answer to coming back for a movie was, I have to feel it was definitely because she really doesn't want Alyssa around at all.

It was very nice seeing Shannen and Rose together for the first time (in the context of Charmed).

Shannen's answer when asked about the reboot was classy. I may have my own opinions about the reboot, but the booing that came from the audience was silly and unnecessary.

Also Rose was so messy with this fan..

Alyssa should have gone instead of Shannon. No offence but Shannon was the better actor. She was there first and I think replacing the phoebe character would, imo, have been a smoother transition than replacing Prue's.

The oldest sister dying did have 2 good consequences though.

1. The strongest sister is gone, when they still needed to fight the source.

2. The roles of the sisters had to change when they gained when the oldest died.

So if Phoebe had died, Prue still would have been the oldest, Piper in the middle and Paige the youngest. But I do think everything would have been much better overall.
