I agree about TR4 nailing the classic formula. Lara should have died at the end of every game, that was great.

OP, I say yes if you play survivor difficulty with no instincts at all. The game is insultingly linear that taking them off at leasts respects you. Combat is still the same but this time you have more skins.

Better than 2013. Far better because there are more tombs to solve. Action is over the top but not ridiculous like 2013. I say it is a massive improvment because I really dislike 2013 because it took me 11 hours to 100% on hard and there is really no point to playing it all again.

Overall, Shadow is the true superior experience as it gives the reboots justice. There is more platforming. Very few enemies and the stealth emphasis gives me rambo vibes. Really awesome.

Rise is at least worth a rental.

The plot maybe a bit annoying, but as a game itself it's pretty good. Just make sure you explore the hubs and do the side quests because they give really good equipment that can make combat a breeze, especially in later sections of the game.

Remember that, if you don't like the game, you can always ask for a refund in 14 days after you bought the game and you don't have to overcome 2 hours of gameplay.

I always play TR in the hardest difficulty, If you want a real Challenge in Rise and shadow,Go Full hard and then Lara wont spoil puzzles and Survival instincts will be off as well.
