I honestly thought that in TR1 she was hiding in a large box.
Never thought about it as a bed But yeah, I guess they could have found her easily. Maybe Natla saw her and decided to let her, then she made a lot of noise in the morning so she was sure she would follow them. Natla may have thought that Lara couldn't stop her now that she has the scion so she decided to show her what was going on in the pyramid. I always figured it was because Lara knew Natlas henchmen had peanuts for brains and weren't the brightest so she wasn't worried about being caught by them.

I don't think she had the intention of sleeping tho. She just wanted to rest a little, but fell asleep cuz a bitch tired.
