Hi evryone,
I am trying to use FLEP from tombIDE. I have set my game settings on TRNG + FLEP, and as you can see in this video, when i try to patch the engine in the folder, I get this error message. Am I using it correctly ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy88J0Yi4gs Thank you |

Damn..
My computer is french indeed ! Well... I open TombIDE, it works fine. I can create a level and play it, no problem. I had some problems in the past because I was working on D drive. I moved everything on C, and I get less error messages. Now, for the very first time, I tried patching the game with FLEP. To do so, I set the settings on "engine : TRNG + FLEP". I create a project, and a level. I build the scripts etc... everything works fine, I can still create and play a level. Then I close evrything, go back to tomb IDE and open the FLEP Manager. i tick a few boxes like "disable climb delay" or "enable roll out of crawlspace" When I am done ticking boxes, I click on MODIFY (bottom right button) and I get this first message (roughly translated) : "this action can not be performed because this file is opened in tomb4.exe, close the file and try again" I don't have any file opened actually, so... why ? Well, I click on CANCEL and I get another error message ! It goes like "you must have an authorization to perform this action" I click on cancel, and I can not have my engine patched... Lara still waits one second before climbing... and I am stuck for several hours on this problem ![]() |

It seems it's still open somehow.
Try opening the task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), open the Details panel, and see if there isn't any remnant of tomb4. If there is any, select it and click End task. Or maybe that's totally unrelated: FLEP patched exes tend to be seen as threats by antiviruses. Maybe your antivirus is preventing the patching from happening somehow? Try adding your C:\TRLE folder into the exceptions list of your antivirus and see if it works better.

OK, that did the trick ! Thank you so much !
You are right Joey, my antivirus thought it was a threat (but was showing no error message ! how the hell was i supposed to guess ?). I disabled it. Oddly enough, it works perfecly well on C drive, but when I try the same process on D (i would rather work on D than C...) it does not work. Well I will on stay on C then. The task manager shows no tomb4 running. I have to restart the computer sometimes to completely end tomb4.exe and be able to patch again. Thanks again. I hope it doesnt bother you if I ask a lot of nooby questions, but I really want to build, and I suck at computers ![]() |
