Yes. So if you want to play the whole game on the PS2 system then you basically must have the memory card inserted which is a new thing I've learned about this issue if you're trying to play this game on the PS2 console without the memory card inserted to the console. That issue will continue everytime you keep playing it that way.

I was looking through the Tomb Raider 25 AOD celebration thread and found some images I've never seen before. Maybe you haven't too?

PARISIAN GHETTO

This one shows the original entrance to the pawnshop.

The notre dame in the background
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-09.jpg

DERELICT APARTMENT BLOCK

Derelict Apartment Block's rooftop area:
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-01.jpg

PARISIAN BACKSTREETS

This looks like the area in the FMV where Lara is pushed through the window by a dog, it looks like you coud revisit it at some point.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-32.jpg

You could see how the area above connects to the starting point of the level.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-35.jpg

They explain here how you "get back" into that FMV area, acessible through a wide open door in the locked route.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-36.jpg

This is the park area in the final build, only there are just trees and a kiosk. Obviously a VERY EARLY BUILD
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-22.jpg

Here they took out the trees and placed the park, only it's much bigger and has an odd shape, the kiosk is still present here. STIL EARLY BUILD
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-19.jpg

Same area but from high above
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-57.jpg

Same area, different angle, a police car seems to be in the middle of the road. Judging by the 3 small blocks on the road, looks like he can't circulate.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-18.jpg

Another view from the other side of the kiosk, this time looking the other way, you can see the street curves and there is no castle wall. A barricade seems to stand in the distance, no police car in the picture.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-23.jpg

This is the area of the first staircase in the locked part. Kiosk is on the left, entrance to the FMV area seems open.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-24.jpg

A view from inside the park:
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-20.jpg

Here the park is shortened, still maintaining it shape. A grey building is placed next to it to fill the space. The kiosk is removed and replaced by a buiding with an orange front
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-49.jpg

As we get closer to it, we notice the police car and a barrier in the distance
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-45.jpg

Here is a closer look at the orange store. BOULANGERIE is french for bakery.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-46.jpg

Another look at the bakery but from above.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-58.jpg

Let's take a look at that area in front of the bakery
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-56.jpg

Looks like you could explore inside the abandoned bakery
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-47.jpg

Looks like there was a narrow street next to the bakery leading back to the locked route start but there is something blocking the way
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-48.jpg

A look behind the building reveals that a doorway connects to the locked route starting area
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-54.jpg

A different angle of that same area. The door to the FMV area isn't seen wide open anymore.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-53.jpg

You can see the door leading to the FMV area again. But something looks off.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-31.jpg

The bakery isn't here anymore. Neither is the kiosk.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-30.jpg

The bakery is here and so is the barricade with the police car, is that another barricade in the distance?
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-55.jpg

Yup, definitely a barricade
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-44.jpg

The barricade is here as the road goes up a bit. There is a narrow way down it seems.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-51.jpg

Slowly heading down the narrow path
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-52.jpg

A different angle of the narrow path reveals this leads to the area in the final build with the policeman and the invisible geometry
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-59.jpg

Same area but bins and a fence instead of that weird doorway from the screenshot above.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-34.jpg

Same area but from a different angle.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-33.jpg

It's much more polished here, obviously a different build. Notice the scaffolding, alas its textures are missing in the final build but not here it seems
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-37.jpg

A different view of the scaffolding
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-41.jpg

Instead of bins or a weird doorway, there is an archway and a door was added (for a loading trigger) Also the street doesn't go up anymore.
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-39.jpg

A view from the other side of the archway
https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com...streets-40.jpg

In the extended B Roll video at 39:14 you can see the archway without the door. As Lara walks through that area, the game stops to load the rest of the level. See for yourself:

Very interesting stuff! So cool to see the changes in development. Parisian backstreets went through a lot! While the "scaffolding" version seems to be the most polished, the "bakery" and the "kiosk" versions seem to be a lot bigger and way more interesting IMO

@Kiko, I saw it last year in july. It was stunning those screens. So many things are changed in Parisian Back Streets level.

Someone should remake this in a Tomb Raider editor so that we can play this. Or that someone could patch the level. I hope someday we get the beta version of this level and explore it.

Word? So is there a chance it or parts of it could be imported into the game? Or is it a Maya file type thing?

Speaking about AOD, I think the ECTS version of this game looks animated than the retail version of it and I know it has better controls like Lara running

Right now changing anything about the geometry is not possible. But if it one day will be possible I will surely try to fix the alternate route of Parisian back streets as much as possible, and of course all remaining geometry glitches.

Are the files uploaded anywhere? It may not be possible to inject them back into AOD yet, but there are various other engines modders could port them to to make it playable.

No they aren't uploaded. There needs to be a clear permission for that to happen as this stuff comes from official sources rather than an ex developer sharing them or anything like that.

Then I wonder where TRJTA got them.
