Oh wow. I think I’ll be avoiding this event and instead save my money for the Barbie Dreamhouse Experience this summer instead. Thank you, Ash.

So I went to the TOMB RAIDER LIVE EXPERIENCE and I loved it!

I think it depends on how open you are to how TOMB RAIDER as a brand can be experimented with. I really LOVED Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft because unlike the movie her voice over is more of a Classic Confident Lara and to see that progression is incredible, I really wish the video was ready. My favourite Alicia Vikander moment was the ending when We see Lara Backlit with two pistols shooting the Big bad with Vikander's voice. because I really felt she embodied that transition so well from Survivor to TOMB RAIDER. She can emote so much with her voice and be so COMMANDING which again we haven't seen in the 2018 movie was amazing. I really want Vikander to voice the next Lara Croft game much to the disgust of many users here I'm sure but you haven't heard this side of Vikander yet...

It really depends on how much you can give-away to an experience like this. For example; you will be Lara's understudy and that's the plot mechanic they use so your group is on Lara's side helping her out vs being with the baddy. If you can't handle that as a fan, you're not going to like this. While the puzzles are original and not inspired from any particular Tomb Raider game I liked that because I went in not knowing how to solve anything.

So I'm not writing this to nullify anyone else negative experience but for example if you have no appreciation for the idea of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft and you wished Jonell or Keeley etc did the voice over and eventual video and that would be a deal breaker for you, this experience isn't for you. For just under 2 hours I loved being in an environment where you felt encouraged to BE the Tomb Raider vs a generic escape room where in your head you're like "If I was Lara Croft what would I do" - here your actively in the Tomb Raider adventure.

The only thing I wished was they had cameras around snapping key moments I frankly would have paid to keep - like I KILLED IT on the Zip Line. I had the best core body strength of the group (I also got to wear the Backpack we keep the artefacts in so I felt extra Lara Croft'y) There's also moments like where you have to crawl up a set of stairs in complete darkness that probably didn't intend to be Tomb Raider inspired but felt very Tomb Raider'y just because it reminded me of those pitch black sections in Tomb 3 when you couldn't see ****! And I loved Nathan McCree's music playing for the action and puzzle sections like "TIME TO RUN"

Also; if your a traveller coming to London it really lends itself to a great day out; you arrive to Sunny Camden Lock this summer, you go be Lara Croft; explore the markets after and go to a restaurant for food - you'll have a great day! So on that note in terms of "Value" it's going to depend on expectation and how easy going you are. If you're strapped for cash or don't have a large disposable income then it might not be for you but if your on holiday or your having a "treat yo'self" kind of day and again you make a day of it and your not rushing off back to the office or school I think it can be a lot of fun.

I went solo so I got put in with a group of 5 making 6 and it was fine. They knew the basics of Lara Croft and Tomb Raider from pop culture (but didn't even know who Winston was) but they had a great time too and the event is engineered to be as accessible to them as well so there's naturally going to be limits too how insider baseball they can take the experience but having Zip pop up (Chronicles personality not LAU!!!) and Jonah, Winston with Natla's card are great Easter eggs!

Ironically you didn't understand the question.

The dialogue is very generic hero vs villain stuff and mission prep. An "actor" (as they're called) hosts each section.

Thanks so I assume it's not going to be difficult

Most attractions are never perfect upon opening. They get better along the way lol. I would wait a while before going, especially after reading some of the reviews. Just for them to have time to work out everything. I’m sure it’s still a good experience though.

lol yeah I'm okay with passing on this. I live about an hour from London and still don't think it's worth it.

It seems like the Live Experience is turning out to be the pinnacle of the franchise trying to cater to everbody but the fans.

Most of the issues honestly seem more logistical than anything else, though.

I really don't mind the event being accessible, so to speak, to people who are not familiar with TR. The problem here isn't that there isn't a vision, I just think it has been very poorly managed...

wow. sounds like a miserable event and waste of money. They really could have hold off on this event and use the money it cost to make this for merchandise instead. The only exciting thing Steve mentioned was that the voice actor for Zip resembled how he talked like in TR5 which is amazing. I love Core zip.

The roller coaster ride from forever ago seems like it was a funner experience than this
