Default Ending the Rise Lara Model VS Shadow Lara Model once and for all.

Special thanks to GFY 2013 For extracting the models bcs i was too clueless to do it,

Anyway,

Here's the models merged as one.

Here's the models side by side.

Conclusion : Both Rise and Shadow have the same model, the only difference being Rise's better lighting and material setup for textures and the difference in texture resolutions between rise and shadow.

Had to make this post bcs i see so many people debating the models and claiming how they keep changing them every game.

I'm really glad they did this, and I hope next game they won't change her too much besides fixing the hair. I really love this character model and its every single little detail it has

I love this version of lara too, maybe they will add braided hair option to this one in the next game.

It's ok they did this for consistency, hopefully they will be this consistent with whatever model comes next hopefully very classic. I would like them to bring DE's facial features back for the future games like the slightly bigger and sexier lips compared to this model. Lara should always have sexy kissable lips I wonder what were they thinking when they replaced her mouth completely in Rise and Shadow's model. I think that is what bothers me the most about it.

Its easy to see that Rise and Shadow has the same model but textures are slightly different. I hope in the next game they keep it closer to looking like Rise's model. I can't keep my eyes off her model in that game. <3

As I have already said in previous posts what made Rise Lara visually pleasing was the shaders that was applied to her and how the lighting in rise was interacting with the model. How the lighting interacts with the models in shadow makes everything looks kinda flat too bright and washed out most of the time.
Btw I think that her forehead looks really short because the dark hair texture applied to her head is really low.

Rise holds the crown for best lighting and shaders, while it's anti-aliasing was a mess, shadow threw that out, slapped a warm filter and the horrible over-exposed lighting, you can see the artifacts on lara's head even on ultra settings, the only good thing about shadow was it's tombs design which Rise lacked.

Facts. Shadow's lighting especially in Ewititi looks so over exposed. It is extremly noticable when you compare it with Rise.

I never understood why this was ever a question in the first place. You just have to look at both to see they're the exact same model. Sure the skin texture seemed less detailed in Shadow, but the hair "texture" looked more fine, instead of being like cassette tape.
