Well we've had a Japanese island, snowy Siberia and tropical Peru. Egypt kinda seems like a no brainier, as it'll feel different from the rest. I feel if they did do Egypt they may consider a bit more globe trotting prior to the main location in the game to ensure a visually varied experience.

Expected and personally wanted. Let CD and EM test the next-gen waters with their Marvel projects, and then use that knowledge for a truly next gen Tomb Raider game

I don't know if I'd want Egypt. Seems a bit too typical. We already had a whole game dedicated to that. The Middle East could be an interesting, new direction.

They've been pretty creative with the themes so far. I would never expect something like Yamatai or Greek and Byzantine myths to be explored in Russia.

You're correct I also love they didn't do easy known myth we have seen a million times like Eldorado, Shangri Là

They do have a flair for the unexpected

Egypt sound easy but there's a ton of myth they could explore without being Seth III : The God Strike Back Again.

Or they could shift with a Polynesian myth for exemple.

Egyptian culture and mithology is still unknown for some parts so there is so much that could be used and said about that...
Right now it seem they had discovered the tomb of Cleopatra and Marco Antonio, how about that?

It is not necessary to be 100% accurate, my was only to point out that Egyptian culture is still passible of new path, archeologically.
And she is the tomb raider, no?

I'd like to see something within the borders of ancient Mesopotamia or perhaps something like Turkey's underground city. Not sure about open world for TR. It seems to me that it would be too empty.
