I'm not bothered about an actress playing Lara Croft being a perfect match. I think it's more important to get someone who has looks, charisma and acting talent, with a "Lara vibe" to them - which AJ did when she took the role.

Hair and eye colour are more important, imo, than mouth/ lip shape.
That's... a bit of a strange requirement? It's a lot easier to change an actress' hair or even eye colour than to alter their facial contours.

She wouldn't pass the test today because the canonical 2023 Lara looks like Hannah Montana, but that's a different issue.

Well mouth shape is something that has come up quite a bit when people have discussed actress suggestions. Yes, it is easier to change hair and eye colour which is why I mentioned it's more important.

I was thinking for Classic Lara.

I wonder if they already cast the actress for the upcoming TV series. Also, it would be interesting to know if the same actress will portray her in the movie as well.

So many questions, no answers.
The wait is unbearable .

The series and movie should portray two different versions of Lara imo. It'll be a fail-safe just in case one doesn't work out. Should be two different approaches. The TR property is so versatile. You could do like a London x-files/true detective/investigation show that snowballs and takes you to crazy places. I like the movie the Beach with Leo decaprio and how you tumble down the rabbit hole from the real world.

The movie can be established by Lara doing another LC:TRmovie1 type of adventure.

both the movie and show should stay away from the reboot universe IMO. Just go with something new. Or revive the Top Cow comics type of stories. Those were great. If Amazon wants money they will add dinosaurs to the first movie. Maybe even the show. The time for shying away from supernatural storylines is over. Esoteric, existential, mind-bending, vibrant camp, is now in season.

You can change those things but as the AJ movies have shown, they probably wouldn't bother. If you care about these types of details being true to the game character, then the safest way to ensure that they are is for them to cast someone who already has the right eye and hair colour. (I mean, to be fair, hair colour I can see them change for the role these days, though I doubt that they'd match it to the slightly reddish brown tone of the classics, they'd probably use the reboot games as reference. But eye colour I wouldn't count on them changing at all.)

She kind of looks like Lara, as did Sophia Leigh.

I think all TR fans know who could do Natla though. But she has got to want to.
